Britain's Got Talent - 4th semi-final

Best semi final so far. It even made Simon smile.

 

Sugarfree - I thought these were really good. Not sure where Simon was coming from when he said they looked like they were choreographed by someone 'older'. Maybe not as good as Flawless or Diversity but lots of potential.

Tippy toes - The 'dancing' wasn't great but both of them were so nice and just glad to be there. And Simon, god bless him, was totally won over by the dog. See he does have a heart!

Callum Francis - I loved this guy. I thought he was fun and energetic and was obviously enjoying what he was doing so much. And god that laugh and smile are infectious. I loved the addition of Baloo and the monkey king (can't remember his name). I was sure he was going to go through to the finals. I hope he does come back next year.

Fred Bowers - What I liked about this act was that it shows that the older generation aren't to be dismissed. This guy loved dancing and just ran with it. The act wasn't good enough for the final but still liked the guy.

Brit Chix - I honestly thought they weren't that bad. I mean the song was a bad, bad choice but I don't think they deserved three buzzers. I might have to watch again on youtube when I have a chance to see if I got it wrong.

Julian Smith - I loved this guy in the audition and I think he did a fantastic performance tonight. He picked a good song too, one that was slow and haunting but that the audition would know so they could sing along in their head and not feel alienated.

2 Grand - I was in love with them before the VT finished. I think these two have a similar energy to Stavros Flatley and I think that is a big reason why they got through. I wouldn't have put them through but they do fit the BGT mold.

Fabia Cerra - I didn't know what to expect from her act. I was thinking she's just a burlesque dancer and how good could it actually be? Well, I LOVED it. I think she picked a brilliant song to dance to, I think the lights on her boobs were funny (and family friendly) and when she did the chair with the water from Flashdance I was squeeling with delight. I really wanted her in the top three.

The results were a bit of a surprise. I was glad Julian got through because I think he really deserved it but I'm not as sure about the judges pick of 2 Grand.
 

Seeing George Sampson perform again was brilliant too.
