I don't even know if I'm going to be able to write my comments in any coherent way for this episode because it was just soooo AWESOME! Seriously there was not one single thing that I disliked and I can't even remember the last time I felt like that. I am even re-watching it as I type and I NEVER do that. After feeling so disappointed by the show in Moffat's first season I think we are finally getting Moffat worthy pieces again.

Unshaven!Doctor!!! I actually quite liked the look.

The now-you-see-me-now-you-don't trick of the aliens was done really well. and marking themselves every time they saw the aliens was so visual as well. I actually got a bit of a fright when Amy was in the orphanage and suddenly she had lots of marks on her face.

"Look at your hand." Well done on freaking me out Mr Moffat.

And the Orphanage was crreeeeppppppyyyy. I have no doubt we'll be seeing it again.

River. I just can't continue to gush over how awesome River is but she completely rocks every scene she is in whether she is flirting, shooting, or realizing she just kissed the love of her life for the very last time. *sob* I've never been a fan of the Doctor verring into romance  but I think River is the perfect way to explore this side of him. And she's killer with a gun... literally.

The child is obviously Amy's kid who has been affected by IDEK timey-whimey TARDIS nanodes or something because she was in the TARDIS so much during the pregnancy. That's possibly why Amy is coming up as both pregnant and not pregnant because the baby is infected with time partials or something. Will be interesting to see where it goes. I'm just trying to figure out why The Silence wanted humans to build a spacesuit for a child who is soo linked to the Doctor in the first place.

So if the, um, other, older, Doctor is really dead, does that mean we're gonna get a Little Girl Time Lord next time?

Rory made me want to squeeze the bejaysus out of him after that "She always knows that I am coming for her. Do you understand me?" speech. Because, yes, he ALWAYS will. NO matter what and I love him for that.

Using the moon landing to put a subliminal hit out on The Silence, while clever, was not very Doctory. It reminded me of something the Master said about the Doctor turning his companions into weapons. Now he's turned the whole human race into assassins.

The Doctor did say something to The Silence before showing them the moon landing footage. "Guys, sorry, but you're way out of time." I feel that's going to be relevant.

Finally, there was a lot of fandom talk about who Canton wanted to marry that caused the FBI to kick him out. We got wonderful confirmation of all the theories.
Nixon: "This person you want to marry; Black?"
Canton: "Yes."
Nixon: "I know what people think of me but perhaps I'm a little more liberal-"
Canton: "He is."
I literally punched the air in delight. Does this mean Moffat is finally returning the multi-layered universe of Doctor Who that we saw up until the end of season 4? I really hope so. Either way I really want to see Canton back. He's an awesome character; and if we get to meet his husband, well that would just be icing on the cake. Oh and I'm not saying it was deliberate but the whole marriage equality thing is so hot button in US at the moment I think it was really clever to put that into the American episode.

Now I'm gonna go off and think about who they should cast as Canton's husband.
