Beautiful & NSFW video
I just saw this and I had to share with you.
This is Ricky Martin - newly out Ricky Martin - in a video unlike anything I have ever seen him do before. Is it meant as a exploration of how he currently feels in the media, naked and vulnerable? Is it a comment on the male body and how we look at people? Is it something completely different altogether and just meant as a publicity piece for a new album he is doing? I don't speak Spanish so maybe someone who does could let me know what the words say.
Either way it is an absolutely beautiful piece of art.
ETA: More info here.

cambia tu vida = change your life. This MAY say cambia de vida, change of life, but I think it's "your."
I may have seen, "niega," which might mean "negate," and I definitely saw "divida," which means, "divided." :(
"Perdona" means "pardon," or forgive. I don't know what desenbrete means... and can't find it in a dictionary so idk, we need a native speaker.
la paz nace cuti means "peace is born xxxidk no translation available"
The last words, omg, vivir es nacer paso a paso mean, "to live is to be born step by step" or "little by little."
I also saw "love" flash up there, and something about being owned by someone/something, I think?
My general sense of it is, a person divided and reborn?
This is stunning.

Wow... just wow. I think I may suddenly be a fan. It is so refreshing to see someone at his age not only standing up as what he is but saying I am still growing towards the person I want to be. And doing that, for what I can tell, by stepping outside the comfort zone of what people would expect from him.
What I really love about this thought is how exposed he has allowed himself to be, both physically and emotionally. There is such a rawness to this and it is breathtaking.

I LOVE the writing appearing on his body, like, it's there under the skin, but only now coming to the surface. I also sense the vulnerability you're talking about, for sure. And birth... it's a violent process, and that shows in here too, all the pain involved.
"Vivir es nacir paso a paso." Gorgeous. "To live" means, to be born into your true self...?
OMG I might have to post about this. <333

God I LOVE this! It needs to be shared with as many people as possible.
some additions/corrections
"Niega" in this context means "deny."
"Divida" really looks like "Olvida" to me, which means "forget."
"Desenbrete" is "descubrete," meaning "discover yourself."
"Conocete" on his foot means "know yourself."
Then a words I can't read, unfortunately.
"Acepta" means "accept."
"Se dueƱo de ti" means "own yourself."
Another word I don't get.
"Ama" means "love."
"La paz nace en ti" means "peace is born inside you."

Ah! Niega makes sense, absolutely. :( Ahah! Desenbrete makes sense too.
It's a really, really awesome piece, wow. Glad you came along to read it. :)
