It's ain't called the boob tube for nothing, ladies.

After Ellen have a brilliant piece today called What if slash shippers ruled the world? with the top 10 femslash TV couples if slashers had our way.

All I can say is I want the Glee fic where Rachel and Quinn realise they are not fighting over Finn but to make sure the other is single so they can have smoochy smooch time.

And don't even get me started on Rizzoli and Isles.

Meme - 20 Qs

Pick five of your favourite shows*, in no particular order, before you read the below questions, then answer them!

Current or just-finished shows only, 'kay?

1. True Blood
2. Stargate Atlantis
3. United States of Tara
4. NCIS
5. Doctor Who/Torchwood

* I'm actually surpised at how difficult it was to pick only five. I had to cut Merlin, Being Human, Glee (I can't resist a good musical number), CSI, Supernatural and perhaps at a push Dollhouse, not to mention the older shows I love.

Britain's Got Talent - 4th semi-final

Best semi final so far. It even made Simon smile.

Seeing George Sampson perform again was brilliant too.

(no subject)

Sorry for the spamming today but I had to post this one last thing that put a smile back on my face. In the video below are Misha Belfer and Mitchel Kibel who were the male dance team in the recent So You Think You Can Dance? controversy (which you can read about over here and watch here.)

Britain's Got Talent - 2nd semi-final

I didn't comment on this last night because I couldn't see all that much to be hugely happy about. But... there was still talent, not a lot but it was there so here's what I thought.

Britain's Got Talent - 1st semi-final

Have I mentioned I love this show like some people love their kids?

Seriously, I can be having a bad day or a bad week but when I sit down to see these normal people come on and do extraordinary things that make me clap and laugh and sometimes cry, it makes me feel like all is right with the world. And it's not just about Susan Boyle. There have been so many acts over the last weeks (months?) that have put huge smiles on my face.

But now we're in the semi final and I realise I'm gonna have to give up every night this week to my tv because I cannot miss a single moment.

My thoughts on tonights acts and the result )

"Cagney and Lacey"? | AfterEllen.com

Revamp of "Cagney and Lacey"?

Honestly, I don't care if this is true or not. I don't even care who they actually get to play the roles, but the idea of a Cagney & Lacey movie sends me into squeals of delight.

God, I loved this show! To this day both Gless and Daly are huge role models to me. They were intelligent, complicated, compassionate, damaged, determined, passioned and hugely complex characters. Yet at the same time they were also two completely different types of woman but the one thing that grounded all of this was their relationship with each other. Their shared love, friendship and sisterhood that is hugely lacking in many modern day tv shows.

I actually had the unbelievable chance to meet Tyne Daly some years ago when working in theater and I was totally blown away by her. She carried herself with such an air of confidence and has such charisma that she's hard to resist.

If this is true and if they get it right it could be amazing!
